Among the women of the Bible, the nameless Samaritan woman at the well is maybe our favorite. From the second class Samaritan tribe, a woman of loose morals, she nevertheless comes to believe in the Jewish Rabbi and be pivotal in the conversion of many in her village.
Think you can’t be used by God? Or that every conversation does not have the potential to ricochet down the Providence of history? Think again.
Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:13-14 NLT
The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming, the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” John 4:25 NLT
And then this declaration:
“I AM He,” said Jesus. “You don’t have to wait any longer or look any further.” John 4:26 MSG
