He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not. Isaiah 53:3 ASV, circa 700 BC
One of the most tragic scenes in all of Scripture is when Jesus was arrested in the Garden and placed on trial. Many accused Him of treason. But where was the blind man to whom He had given sight? Where was the leper He had cleansed? The adulterous woman He had forgiven? Where were they?
John 12:19 says, “Look how the whole world has gone after him!” Yet not one stood with Him at the end. Did they forget?
Have you forgotten what Jesus has done for you?
Take a moment today. Make a list of what Jesus has done for you. Add to it every night before you go to bed. Then thank Him for what He has done by living your life identified with Him.
