What a great and wonderful story is the history of God, a history that is still being written and in which I am a player. The world around us, the anointed Word of the Bible, the Holy Spirit, all testify to his magnificence and love.
They rode camels and were only just beginning to consider that the world might be round. We have iPhones and fly to the moon. But as a civilization we are not one whit advanced from the people in the time of David. They had as well developed a relationship with and understanding of God as we do today. And even though David had an imperfect wordily life, God must have known what was in his heart. The very same position each one of us finds ourselves in today.
